Loved it!
After reading Nicky Charles mating, keeping and finding - and having found them ok, but a little too 'convenient' in their stories and happenings - I decided not to bother with bonded.
I read black silk next and thought it was a decent read and decided to try life in the shadows.
Wow, what a surprise! I was immediately drawn into the story and the characters... Couldn't wait to find out what happened next and almost growled at anyone or anything that interrupted my story time (which I was constantly extending).
On coming to the last short story in the book, the author noted that there was a cross over of the story line from NC's Bonded... Because I'd enjoyed life in the shadows so much, I didn't want to get lost in translation just because I hadn't read the book, so I caved and ended up enjoying bonded much more than NC's previous 3.
Long story short... Loved life in the shadows... Malik and Tam were great characters who easily became 'friends'. The story dragged me in almost from the start and quickly came off the page and started running as a movie inside my head.
Can't wait for the next book!
