It showcases a period of five decades, up to the time of the sale of Brambles Cranes to Holts Industries in 2001. The book is a ‘glance in the rear view mirror’, - a glimpse at where we have come from. It gives us an understanding and appreciation of what our predecessors experienced as they sought to build their business and the business’s of their customers and suppliers.
Lift & Shift takes a look at the industrial development of Queensland, the customers and industries Brambles serviced, the people they employed, the equipment they sourced, the suppliers they used and the incidents they had.

It is amazing what you see when you take a glimpse in the rear view mirror. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the history of the Crane and Transport Industry. Very informative. The author’s knowledge is just outstanding. Thank you for sharing.
