This book is the best and is full of heartbreak and romance. Love is in the air with Bertie who knows nothing more than having Hetty as his wife. While Hetty’s foster brother, Jim is getting ready for his marriage with a kindly girl Hetty thinks is the perfect match for Jem, Jem want’s to marry Hetty. Hetty secretly feels the same way too deep down but believes that she is not good enough for him. When Jem shows his feelings for Hetty by sharing a kiss minutes before the wedding in front of their childhood memory, the squirrel tree, Jem and Hetty now know that they cannot speak words of love to each other again. As Hetty sets off to find her way in the world with the child acrobat she ran away with from the circus who was poorly treated by the wicked clown Beppo, her ideas are often unique and cunning, and Hetty knows how to use her talent to make her way in the world. This story is an incredible emotion roller coaster and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in reading a honest story about a foundling, but perhaps tweaked up with a few modern touches, this book is the perfect match.
AMAZING
i loved this book it has the right amount of everything to make a wonderful story. i like how Hetty revisits her past and falls in love our old friend flirty bertie and he is by fa my favourite character. i give this book two thumbs up!!!!!
