A good read

Interesting content and a good comfortable read.

Enjoyable

I went into The Lost Apothecary with no expectations… I ended up pleasantly surprised, albeit with a few minor comments.

Firstly, to me, Caroline’s narration didn’t add much to the overall progression. I found myself skimming her chapters, ready to move along. The whole purpose of Caroline was just to create suspension surrounding the events in the historical timeline. She could’ve been cut out completely.

In saying that, I adored those of Eliza and Nella! They were invigorating and I couldn’t get enough… I just wish we had more Nella potion making content.

Overall, this was a stellar debut, with gorgeous prose.
