Leah refuses to accept defeat.

When the Earth became uninhabitable, humanity picked up and made a new colony in a far corner of the universe. It has only one catch: every few years they have to sacrifice a group of young men to the beings who were there first. One of those men is Leah's brother. To save him, she embarks on an adventure, jumping with both feet into unchartered territory.

The search leads her into the path of a mysterious alien stranger. He's someone she's supposed to hate. He's one of them. Yet something inside her wants to trust him.

Coming face to face with the beings responsible for the oppression of the humans changes her life forever, uncovering old truths and new lies.
