Love Ties

Over a hundred years love intertwines four young women. Caring for their Colorado land and loving their men thread through the hope these teens have for their families and their futures.


El meets W.D. as they homestead in northeastern Colorado. Their passionate attraction leads to their marriage with a baby coming six months later. El remains constant in her vow to care for her thriving land. She imparts this caring especially to her granddaughter, Michelle.


Michelle and Brett fall in love while at State University. After he serves in Vietnam and finishes his degree, he and Michelle marry. Oil is discovered on property Brett inherits. They adopt Tessa. As with her grandmother Michelle understand she is but a guardian of the land.


Tessa locates her birth parents, Dawn and Billy. They relate to her the story of their love and reuniting. Tessa now understands the circumstances of her adoption. 


Tessa meets Coy at his hospital construction site. They fall in love. Tessa completes her job as site supervisor of a middle school and finishes Coy’s hospital construction. They marry. The land on which Tessa and Coy build projects is land fiercely loved by Tessa, Michelle and El. Tessa, Michelle, Dawn, and El tie to each other, their love for their husbands and families.
