TL Smith does a phenomenal job writing with so much detail and emotion that you will absolutely feel like you are apart of this book.
I love it when I can connect with a book on an emotional level and I did Shed some tears a couple of times throughout this book. I experienced that stab of pain you get involved your heart and that sick feeling you get deep down in the pit of your stomach when something so bad happens you wonder if your ever going to survive it.
This is the emotional yet gripping story of Keegan (or Kee as her family know her) her story will tug at you heart strings while ripping your heart out. The journey of Keegan is not for the faint hearted, it's about a girl who is to broken to function on most days, a girl who wants that epic love (that this is IT) we all close our eyes and wish for and a girl who wonders if she will ever be able to leave what makes her unhappy.
Jamie, Khol & Macca these men each play a role in Kee's life, there are some good, some bad and downright ugly times but don't think for one second you think you know how this is going to end because you will be wrong. Once you start though you won't be able to stop because you will be hooked.
I cannot recommend this book enough, it is RAW & emotionally Intelligent. It is also cleverly written from dual perspectives and transcends from past to present in a way that flows and helps you as the reader understand the backstory.

Oh boy what an epic journey!
TL Smith never disappoints to weave magic, casting spells on her readers with her words.
Keegan starts off in a very dark, desolate place in the story but manages to move on.
Khol is dark and dangerous but suffering too. The two are similar in many ways. Macca and Brice, Khol's partners see the difference in Khol because of Keegan.
I'm not going to sugar coat it...parts of this story gutted me! TL Smith certainly knows how to reach into a reader's heart and twist it! She garners intense feelings as readers can do nothing but become fully invested in the story. Magic I tell you, this author has it in spades.
