The Navy has awarded Norfolk-based Maersk Line Ltd. a multiyear contract potentially worth $126 million for the operation and maintenance of five container and roll-on/roll-off ships in support of the Military Sealift Command's Marine Corps Prepositioning Program. The "Bobo-class" vessels - 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo, Sgt. William R. Button, 1st Lt. Baldomero Lopez, 1st Lt. Jack Lummus and Pfc. Dewayne T. Williams - will be crewed by civilian mariners and deployed worldwide to preposition equipment and supplies at sea.
