Insightful and engaging!
Mr Duke advocates and approach to taking photographs that employs a framwork which directs and informs a photographer's choices as they make images. This is not a technical 'how to' book for which all solutions lie in buying yet more 'gear' or learning the latest prost-processing techniques. Nor is it a recipe book of 'standard setups' that promises to deliver 'award winning' images. Rather, 'Making Great Photographs' equips the reader with a practical, common sense construct and 'way of seeing' that is both simple and eloquent in its practical application and which will benefit either the beginner or seasoned photographer.
An insightful read with a wonderful rhthm, the text is illustrated with stunning images that make for a delightfully engaging read.
