Customer Reviews
Mallawindy
An intriguing read. As is usual with Dettman, you cannot see where it will go and you cannot put it down.
The characters, drawn from life, are so true to life.
What is interesting about this book and it's seqel "Yesterdays Dust" Is that you feel you are almost missing a 'first book'.
There is a parallel between Jack / Sam Burton & Archie Foote of the "Pearl in a Cage" series, as Annie Burton is paralleled in Jenny Morrison's daughter Georgie.
Australian through and through and so vividly northern Victoria. Highly recommended.
A Good Read
The mystery of this book sustains to the end and doesn't disappoint. A great read from an excellent Australian writer.
