This novel continues the all-new, completely original story begun in the first three MASS EFFECT stories. The heroine, Gillian, was once the subject of horrifying scientific experiments, but now, after her rescue, she is beginning to master her amazing powers. But when she falls under the sway of a radical group who believes their powers make them superior to ordinary humans, she finds herself faced with a choice between her destiny . . . and her humanity.
Does anyone know if they will fix the errors for the itunes version?
This book was meant to the be the connection between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3... Not really sure how. It doesn't connect with anything from ME2 and almost deliberately undermines the previous novels in this series. This is badly written and very amateurish- the author doesn't seem to know much about the world of ME and doesn't care, there are so many simple mistakes in the book that are just annoying. The dialogue is woeful and soulless and the action goes from nothing to OTT near the climax. The plot of the novel itself is very strange, and doesn't fit with the other books. I am so surprised bioware let this be released. The author of the previous three ME novels did a commendable job for spin-off fiction.
Also note, that bioware has apologised for this book having so many errors and promises a new edition to fix them. I believe that means replacing the entire book with something else.
Best to pretend this book didn't happen & that I get a free updated version when Bioware fix it. See google for a listing of all the errors in this book.
