Publisher Description
Master Of Paradise is an original book, never before published.
When Nicholas Peacock is cheated out of his inheritance of Peacock Hall in Kent, he sails to South Carolina. He buys land, clears it, and plants cotton. Eventually, he builds a magnificent house known as Paradise Plantation.
Nicholas falls in love with one of the daughters of Bernard Jackson, who owns the neighboring plantation.
When Civil War threatens and Bernard Jackson is asked to return to the Congress in Richmond, Nicholas is forced by circumstances to accept a marriage in name only. The sexual tension is stretched to breaking point as the would-be lovers are torn between honor or surrendering to the love and longing in their hearts.

Proofreading
From a well-known author such as Ms Henley one would think that there is someone she employs to proofread her work. Too many misspelt words! Some facts are missing too and I did not like the superfast pace of the story. It made everything so unrealistic. If not for the fact that I am a fan, I would have rated this book 1 star.
