General Jeff Weyland has overseen the top secret development of the PATRIOT missile system since its beginning. But during a crucial stage of testing, he makes the horrifying discovery that someone has infiltrated the system.  With the Gulf War looming and the lives of American and Israeli citizens at stake, Weyland must find out who is responsible for the missile's failure. With the assistance of Suzy Morris, a Senate staffer, and two old army buddies--Fish, a computer programmer, and Billy, a CIA operative--Weyland sets out through a maze of murder, intrigue, and terrorism to discover who has the most to gain if the PATRIOT missile system fails, and who controls the Master Switch.
