Medicine Man Magic

Little Hawk, a 12-year-old Crow Indian boy, lives in what is current day Montana. His father, the chief of their tribe, has begun to teach his son all he must learn to grow into the man who will someday replace him as chief. After they track a deer down into a steep canyon, a great earthquake cripples Little Hawk and takes away the man he thought was unbreakable. Little Hawk must leave his people to search for his powerful great-uncle, the medicine man Tall Fox. Will Tall Fox be able to straighten Little Hawk's crooked leg Will he help heal the sorrow of his loss More importantly, will he be able to teach Little Hawk the secrets of the earth, the secrets he must learn in order to return to his tribe as a man who will someday become chief
