What happens when the veteran—who is secretly from a famous and affluent Hollywood family—covets a dog treat baker whose ex-fiance uses money to control her?

For the last six years, I've kept the truth about my family away from the men and women I met while serving in the US Army. What they don't know is I'm the youngest son (and black sheep) of an old money, high powered, Hollywood family. I never wanted the life they crave, and it was either the Army, jail, or a pine box, if I had continued down the reckless path I was on as a teenager.

Now I'm separating from the military and looking at the next phase of my life, which I hope includes investing in the Veteran K9 Center in Spring City, Colorado. The men working at this facility have been my family since graduating high school, and their influences are what I think I need in my future.

And then I meet Tess---a beautiful bartender with a dream of starting a doggie bakery. That's a dream I can help make a reality with my inheritance, and I don't even have to tell anyone where it came from. All I have to do is go home and meet with the lawyer to release my trust fund so I can invest in what I hope will be my future.
