Publisher Description
Get ready to fall in love with Clare James' Bestselling Romantic Comedy about a couple desperate to keep their relationship in the friend zone… until an expected turn of events.
My relationship with Jules Taylor? Let's just say it's complicated. We've gone around the painful circle of: friends, to more than friends, to enemies, to enemies with more, to… FINALLY, friends again.
Best friends.
Jules is simply the most important person in my life and I can't afford to lose her. But try telling that to the rest of my body. Still, I'm resolved to be what she needs from me – a FRIEND.
Just friends.
And it was going fine. Okay, mostly fine.
But when Jules is hurt in a bar fight and left with broken bones, I have no choice but to move into her apartment and take care of her. Suddenly, our just friends sitch turns into a whole lot more as I'm forced to do the most basic daily tasks for her — cooking, cleaning, bathing (yeah, I know!). Yet I stay strong.
Only friends.
Trouble is, I begin to enjoy it too much. Taking care of her, sharing meals, our late-night talks, it has me thinking of what could be. But we've been down that road before with disastrous results. So I continue to remind myself of the reason that I'm here and what we are to each other.
Roommates.
Yes, it's a roommates-only situation. Really…well, until Jules begins to have a change of heart.

An okay read
I don’t know if it’s just not my cup of tea or it just didn’t speak to me, but I just couldn’t get into the story. I found myself skimming the book from half way onwards, even over the bedroom scenes. I understand the fear of past trauma and being betrayed, but this is another one of those books that makes readers think ‘just grow a pair and talk to each other’ kind of books.
The premise of the book is simple: Boy meets Girl in High School. Boy falls in love with Girl. Girl falls in love with Boy. They get together. Something happens and they break up. They still want each other but Boy has a secret. Side Girl leaks secret to Girl. Relationship destroyed and two pages later Boy and Girl get together again. A lot of angst in the middle where Boy tries to redeem himself. The ending of how they patched up was too quick and easy in my opinion. Probably won’t continue with the series.
