Mummy Steals the Show

My prize chrysanthemum has been kidnapped. A charming botanist needs my help. And I'm fairly certain someone is trying to sabotage the entire National Flower Show.

I returned to civilization with one goal: win Best in Show at the National Flower Exhibition with my magnificent Mummy. Then someone kidnapped her. Multiple prize blooms, actually. A pattern most disturbing.

Naturally, I took charge of the investigation, much to Head Constable Shirty's annoyance. He's still cross about my success aboard the Empress of the Skies. 

Then Miss Mable McTavish arrived at the crime scene.

Beautiful. Brilliant. A professional botanist whose rare Midnight Orchid was kidnapped. She makes my mechanical leg malfunction in entirely new and mortifying ways. Ways I have not experienced since my wife, Clementine, died in that unfortunate incident with the dinosaur.

As we investigate, the conspiracy deepens, and the more time I spend with Miss McTavish, the more I suspect I'm in danger of something far more treacherous than mere flower theft.

A steampunk mystery featuring flower theft, botanical sabotage, the start of an awkward romance, and a retired spy who keeps making impulsive decisions he'll certainly regret.
