Michelle Somers, you gem... I cannot begin to describe how delightful it is to read a book, not only based in my home town of Melbourne (Outer-East as opposed to your Inner-City locations), but written in British / Australian English! No "Z's" everywhere I looked - pure pleasure in itself.

Then the story itself, a novelist writing about a novelist... double to imagery on every page!

No a highway, road, avenue, lane or alleyway named - something I find so tedious in most novels by US authors! Do they think everyone is familiar with downtown LA or the back locks of Detroit... hardly?

If there is one criticism, perhaps it was a tad long, however, that said, Michelle Somers rarely wasted a word, superfluous information was kept to a minimum, as were the actual bedroom scenes. Yes, strange as the sounds coming from a lover of the Romantic-Suspense genre, I do prefer leaving some of the usually explicit details to my own imagination, and again with class and skill, this too was treated with restraint and respect.

All things considered, and I'm now onto my third Somers' offering, i cannot recommend this book highly enough... I'd give more than 5 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Currently enjoying "Lethal In Love" and looking forward to every turn of the page, and another top-notch review to follow.
