Murder Reporter

One night when Tommy Daniels was seven, his father said he was going up to Madison Street to have a beer. He never came home. Tommy develops a growing fascination with that street and also with murder. This turns into an odd writing career, focused on the day-to-day murders that the daily newspapers tend to overlook. Many of them happen on Madison Street in the heart of Chicago's West Side. His missing father is never far from Tommy's mind. Where did he go? Why did he go? He talks to old neighbors and co-workers, searches through government files and old employment records. Years go by, the city sets another murder record, and one day the mystery of the missing father is unraveled along with a surprising twist. MURDER REPORTER is the biggest story of Tommy's life. It's also a saga of 50 years of Chicago murders.
