I love the Maguire series and Ian Maguire is no exception. Ian is dubbed the problem child of his father’s political campaign, the playboy who runs from commitment and prefers no strings attached to a committed relationship. Enter Simone Jax, her PR firm is handling Ian’s father’s PR and Simone is tasked with handling Ian. Simone suggests Ian lays low and is seen with only one woman until his father’s gubernatorial election is over. Unfortunately the press capture Ian and Simone kissing at an event and so begins their fake relationship.
I loved this one, Ian and Simone are such compelling characters with so much depth and emotional energy, they instantly connect and what starts as purely physical becomes so much more. I loved seeing Ian grow into the man he was always meant to be and watching Simone gradually let down her barriers she has erected to protect herself from hurt and let Ian in was so good. I love the big, loud, loving Maguire family and this series has fast become a favourite.
