An honest account which brings up important issues which some may not have thought about before.
Advice for the author
You seem to have an interesting story to tell, but some judicious editing would not go astray. This reads like an autobiography commissioned in an eight grade English class. Perhaps return to the drawing board, interview family members, include some deep introspection and worry less about your curly hair when your stepdad just died? Could be a worthy memoir, if it wasn't so overwhelmingly juvenile.
