A week-long trip. A fake marriage. And seven delicious nights with only one bed in the hotel room.
He's my business partner, my good friend, and the man I've craved for years.
But I've resisted the sexy Brit, and I plan to keep up my walls because I've been there, done that, and I know how much it hurts when you let someone into your heart.
Then an opportunity comes along for us to snag the business deal of a lifetime.
We need to pretend we're married to pull off this high-stakes deal.
So the clever, charming man with secrets a mile deep becomes my temporary husband, as we travel around Europe. Soon, we fall into bed, tangled together like newlyweds who can't keep their hands off each other.
One week to explore our fantasies, then we return to who we were.
But when I learn the dark secrets he's been keeping, I doubt we can go back.
Because they change everything.
My One-Week Husband is a standalone.
Fun, flirty read
Another fantastic read from the very talented Ms Blakely and if you are looking for an entertaining, flirty, fun read look no further than My One Week Husband.
Daniel and Scarlet are friends and business partners who have decided to have a week of fun, travelling Europe whilst pretending to be newlyweds..... what could possibly go wrong you might ask, well it’s all fun and flirty till they fall into bed and realise they can’t keep their hands off each other and maybe this is actually more than just friends having some fun.......
A wonderful, entertaining read with witty banter and sizzling chemistry, I loved everything about this book, I loved the characters, the flirting and banter made me smile and the sizzling chemistry had me reaching for the fan but what took this book to another level was the deep friendship Daniel and Scarlett shared and it was wonderful jointing them on their journey from friends to lovers. I guess all that’s left to say is please one click this gem of a read, you won’t be disappointed.
Ohh La La
If you follow LB on socials, you will know that she has a vibrant and buoyant personality so it’s no surprise that that rubs off on her characters. Scarlett and Daniel are no exception, they both give you a sense of living life to the fullest - carpe diem. Both were raised in a happy loving home, but it changes for one in a dramatic way as a teen which causes them to not trust themselves or love again. The other has been burnt in a previous relationship and even though that sucked big time, they still want to try once more. An opportunity arises when a business trip is needed to source out another property to purchase for their growing hotel empire and Daniel and Scarlett have a little fun role playing as husband and wife for a week, hence the title. But it could be too much for one, bringing back sad memories and deep hurt.
This was a quick and fun read, discovering parts of France along with Daniel and Scarlett and watching their feelings come to light. They both had respect for the other and the chemistry was on fire! It was inevitable that they wouldn’t be able to keep their hands to themselves and with their other business partner Cole playing Cupid, it was la destinée! I do love me an epilogue, and we get two that made my heart sing and heal from this love story. I think this book would be amazing in audio, with the different languages and dirty talk, so if you get the opportunity, LB’s are the best with multi casts.
