Alara Westing, daughter of engineers, is attacked by Biostriker terrorists who leave her locked in her paralyzed body. The engineers who love her create an artificial body, a neuroprosthetic avatar, for her, and controlling it with her mind, she can use its superpowers to seek justice for herself and all of the victims of the Biostrikers.
