Never Bring a Panic Attack to a Gunfight

This little book is an outrageous and self-aware collection of short stories, essays and assorted ramblings. It aims to be profound and Pulitzer-winning but gets severely, hopelessly lost along the way. It takes the scenic route, no doubt, doing a number of whimsical, bizarre and manic laps of the mountain’s base before any attempt an an ascent. Meritocracies, astronomy, the delusions of a madman and criticisms of the postal system are just some of the stops the book makes on a long journey to appear cleverer than it really is; it’s actually just an extended rant. Lots of thinly veiled social commentary, sporadic love stories or existential angst and, in all honesty, a bit of nonsense. But I think you’ll like it all the same. 


“Never Bring a Panic Attack to a Gunfight” is a collection of seemingly disjointed and absurd fabrics sewn together by an author who is bad at sewing but nonetheless enjoying himself. It’s primary objective is to be fun and enjoyable, everything else is icing on the proverbial cake. Maybe an ice-cream cake, or some of that ritzy triple-decker shit.
