Nit Financial Results

All six funds under the management of National Investment Trust Limited have shown healthy growth in net income and appreciation in unit value during the first quarter of FY11. This was stated by the Chairman and MD - NIT, Mr. Wazir Ali Khoja in a press release issued after the Board of Directors of National Investment Trust Ltd approved the accounts of the Funds under its management for the first quarter ended on 30th September 2010. NI(U)T Fund has shown a healthy growth of 5.4% in its net income (excluding unrealized gains) which increased to Rs. 2,183 million earned by the Fund during the quarter ended on September 30, 2010 from Rs. 2,071 million earned by the Fund in the corresponding quarter of last year. This net income of Rs. 2,183 million translates into earning per unit of Rs. 1.85 earned by the Fund in 1st Quarter of FY11. The earning per unit of Rs. 1.85 is three times higher than the quarterly average per unit earning of Rs. 0.61 earned by the Fund in the last year.
