Publisher Description
Who do you trust, your friends or your enemies?
When Xera is stranded on a desert planet with a hostile crew and a cadre of murdering aliens, her friends aren't who she thinks they are. As the translator, she's the only one who can forge a truce. As the only woman, she's the prize they lust for, and when her captain turns on her, she's going to need the help of her enemies to escape his wrath.
Because on this inhospitable world, the warlike Scorpio are her only chance. Looking into the fiery eyes of their handsome leader, Xera saw raw heat; a reaction she knew her fellow humans would despise. A future with Commander Ryven was…something to consider. But first they had to survive.
A hot, but not explicit, space romance novel.

Sci Fi Romance
The concept for this series is one that has captured people's imaginations for generations, and is explored quite well by the author. With only minor editing issues, this book is well written, with likeable characters. Although, having read the first book in the series as well, I find Xera, the female protagonist's transformation a little unbelievable. In the first book, and the beginning of this one, she is feisty, strong willed and skilled in martial arts. Almost immediately after being 'captured' by the 'enemy', however, she becomes a weak minded damsel in distress. Not really my idea of a modern female heroine....
