Great read
This is a facinating book that uncovers the secrets of a family in an emotional and powerful dissection. It kept me gripped all the way through as the story of the 3 generations come together to explain how Yasna became the person she is and how she is fighting to overcome the family history to become the person she wants to be. The author's skill in building the characters and describing the beauty of the Balkans and the despair of war painted very real images that made you feel you are almost watching the story through the pages.

A read I could not put down. To me it was like I was reading about someone's life. A journey filled with faith, hope , dreams, love, family, history, risk, courage, war, torture, violence, religion, culture, tradition...... And so much more. I am anxiously waiting to read the sequel.
