Publisher Description
The first part of the epic Commonwealth Saga, Pandora's Star by Peter F. Hamilton is a fantastic galaxy-spanning novel from the master of space opera.
"The depth and clarity of the future Hamilton envisions is as complex and involving as they come." Publishers Weekly
Earth AD 2329: Humanity has colonized over four hundred planets, all interlinked by wormholes. For the first time in mankind's history there is peace.
Then a star over a thousand light years away suddenly vanishes, imprisoned inside a force field of immense size.
Only a faster-than-light starship, captained by ex-NASA astronaut Wilson Kime, can reach that distance to investigate.
But there was a good reason for sealing off an entire star system. And getting in may not be as difficult as stopping something from getting out . . .

A Good Read but pay attention to shifts in perspective
Overall a good read, Peter has created a great universe but I find his writing style jumps between people very quickly without much warning which could easily be solved with a simple heading over each section so you can keep track of the changing views. Apart from some other inconsistencies it’s worth the read if you’re interested in near future human race antics.
Magnificent
Magnificent!
Nobody can built the complex worlds like Peter Hamilton. An extraordinary story crossing many worlds with the most unique adversary I’ve ever read. 5/5 wonderful!
Space opera story telling at its best
They don't get better than this. Intelligent adventure, drama and fun all in one. You'll be challenged to put it down and will cheer for the countless well developed characters. Absolutely worth your time.
