Publisher Description

A drivers limited right to consult with an attorney of his own choosing is not vindicated when the driver is given a list of pre-selected attorneys, does not have access to telephone books, and cannot personally dial the telephone to contact directory assistance, family, or friends. Nor is the right to counsel vindicated merely because the driver actually speaks to an attorney from the list, when that attorney is unwilling to advise or represent the driver.
