I want to start where we left off, but she doesn't want anything to do with me. Eventually our mutual attraction steamrolls her resistance, but when her deception catches up to her and what she's been hiding is exposed, nothing will ever be the same for either of us.
Will her truth be the anchor that strengthens our relationship, or the storm that obliterates it beyond repair?

All the feels
Penalizing is Jason Wilder and Addison Barlowe’s entertaining and at times emotional journey. This is book five in the Portland Icehawks Series and for me this is my favourite read in the series which makes it the perfect addition to one of my favourite fictional hockey teams. Jason and Addison have a history, in fact they dated 10 years ago when they were both living in Europe. He got offered his dream, a contract back in the USA and they both decide to go their separate ways. Fast forward to today and Jason has been traded to the Portland Icehawks where Addison is the assistant VP of marketing and as soon as their eyes meet he knows he should never have let her go. What follows is a man determined to win the woman he loves back and a woman determined to keep the secret she has hidden for the last 10 years. A secret that could tear them apart……. This book touched me on so many levels, I fell hard and fast for Jason and Addison is the woman I would as a friend, the chemistry is sizzling, the banter is witty but it was the camaraderie this team share that added another level to this read.
Entertaining
Penalizing is a second chance at love story that ticked all the boxes for me. This is Jason Wilder and Addison Barlowe’s story and it was a good addition to the series.
Jason is unhappy at being traded to the Portland Icehawks after recently winning the Stanley Cup. Imagine his shock when he sees Addison, the one who got away. She is unhappy about his trade but neither of them can do anything about it.
The attraction that once sizzled is just as intense now; re-connecting lines are quickly crossed. Penalizing was an emotional, well written, story that drew me in from the first chapter.
Addison has secrets., what will happen when they are revealed?
