Gareth Knight is a retirement specialist for the Mission. He specialises in shape shifters, ones who've killed.

Yeah, he kills people, but he's one of the good guys, right? He never retires an innocent shifter. His girlfriend, Starkie, is evidence of that. That's what he thought at least.

His last retirement wasn't what he thought it was. Instead of a serial-killing doctor harvesting young women for body parts, it was something different. Now, a retirement specialist from a rival agency after him. Uncertain about whether he's a good guy or bad guy, he must negotiate the strange underworld of Wildemarsh to find a truth. Not the truth, his truth, and maybe find something else he needs, like a good cup of coffee.
