WESTERN ROMANCE
This book is the third installment in the Bennington series. It is set in Larkspur Valley, Wyoming and is Poppy and Finn’s story. The Bennington siblings all feature heavily as well. This story won't set the world on fire, but it is an easy and comfortable read. I felt there were holes in the plot from when Poppy was a teenager until her wedding day.
Poppy had a temper and was impulsive, but who could blame her for running away after being embarrassed in front of the entire town? She was unlucky in life and
love. Deciding a fresh start was her best option, Poppy ran away from her family but didn't count on Finn’s determination to find and marry her. Finn had loved Poppy for years, but she kept rejecting his advances. I admired how Finn never gave up on finding Poppy, but oh boy!! Did he have a rough time convincing her that he loved her?
I enjoyed this Western romance with its drama, angst, and new beginnings. The punishment scenes were not over the top and well deserved. After a rough start, this
couple was meant to be together. Finn was gentle and caring as he introduced Poppy to the sexual side of their marriage.
