The cemetery is home to the graves of four British crewmen, two known and two unknown, from the HMS Bedfordshire, a converted 162-foot trawler torpedoed off the Carolina coast in May 1942. N.C. 12 in Ocracoke. Free. (252) 928-3711. Bodie Island Lighthouse. The 156-foot tall lighthouse, built in 1872, is one of four still standing on the Outer Banks.
