Propter Nuptias

Miroir Noir

is a four-handed pictorial collaboration between Milos Kopták (Slovakia, 1969) and Rai Escalé (Spain, 1964). This project started in 2007 as an attempt to update and pulverise the darkest of Spanish and Slovakian traditions, together with their

national icons.


Propter Nuptias is the most recent of Miroir Noir collections. It is also the first time that they have concentrated exclusively on a single topic for almost a year. Miroir Noir began this project with the aim of exploring and representing the emotional tension of people during what they call "The most beautiful day in my life".
