Customer Reviews
Queen Bee
Well written as always by Jane Fallon, an interesting angle and a sharp critique of modern wealth and excess, really takes the Mickey out of tacky “beautiful“ people, while still uncovering some actual personalities under the fake makeovers and empty lifestyles.
What a hateful protagonist
I wanted to like this book - I love her other books - but the main character here was immensely dislikable, making choice after choice based on poor personal boundaries (that went unpunished) and a blundering lack of self awareness. The writer’s critical commentary on wealth came across as equally amateur and one-dimensional. Frustrating to read.
