Read Me First

Publisher Description

Before the stories begin moving again, the SpinoChasm holds its breath for you.

Every clock stops. Rain waits above rooftops. A bell leans into its ring without making a sound. Across a universe built from flesh, code, faith, memory, horror, love, machinery, and survival, every door opens at once.

Christopher Lee Spino, author and architect of the SpinoChasm, steps into the pause beside Julian, Ernie, Early, Molly, Serena, Bird, Fox, and characters from stories both published and still forming. Even the villains are allowed to speak. While the SpinoChasm remains paused, however, no one may harm, command, recruit, bargain with, or possess the reader.

Read Me First is both a story and a simple guided walk through Christopher Lee Spino's connected universe. The characters introduce themselves, explain the worlds they come from, reveal the forces opposing them, and help readers understand where each road begins.

The journey opens with a short and complete section written for elementary readers. Middle-grade readers may continue through their own complete ending. Teen readers may travel farther into identity, belonging, courage, love, memory, and choice. Adults may continue through the darker doors, where the universe speaks more openly about horror, desire, trauma, faith, control, survival, and the difference between protecting someone and possessing them.

Readers will encounter the emotional worlds of Molly and Julian, the taverns and impossible ledgers surrounding Early, Serena's dreams and living signals, the children and strange machinery of the Circles, the seven Cores beneath the larger universe, and unfinished doors whose stories are still becoming.

No reader must memorize every character, understand every connection, or enter every room. The SpinoChasm does not demand loyalty before offering welcome. It simply walks beside the reader until one voice, symbol, world, or doorway feels familiar.

Some readers will follow the fox. Some will notice the bird. Some will hear the signal, approach the orchard, enter the Circle, or remain outside Early's tavern until they are ready.

Every stopping place is a complete ending. Every open door remains a choice.

There is no wrong doorway.
