Publisher Description
Chicago Rebels goalie Erik gets his shot at love . . . but first he'll have to figure out what he did to offend the woman he's crushed on forever.
Casey Higgins, assistant to the Chicago Rebels owner, has a smile for everyone who comes into the front office—everyone but goalie Erik Jorgenson. And he has no idea why. For the last year, she’s refused to give him a kind word, and finally, he’s had enough. At the Rebels holiday party he’ll uncover the root of their mysterious conflict and show this woman that goalkeepers do their best work . . . on their knees.
Can a little Yuletide cheer get Erik into Casey’s good graces, warm bed, and frozen heart? Or will he fumble the puck and lose his chance? Join the Chicago Rebels this holiday season and find out if Erik is as good at saving Christmas as he is at saving goals!
Customer Reviews
Felt rushed, I was disappointed
I didn’t love the book. This author normally puts so much into their writing, with great character and relationship development, but not with this one. I found it lacking. I normally devour the authors books but I didn’t this time, it felt rushed and I just didn’t get hooked like I usually do. The character differentiation wasn’t clear, and though it was communicated at the start of their POV at points I wasn’t sure whose outlook I was in. Could have used a thesaurus for solidity. I was quite disappointed in this book. The characters did not fit my first impressions of them from previous books in the series. This author is so new age, I was surprised to read words like haughty and giggle, it didn’t suit the normally descriptive use of language. I’m disappointed because this author created two of my favourite characters (Harper and Remy).
