Red Amber

When the fishing trawler Boonari Likoo requests to dock with the Mother ship Mystic Mist the skipper Clarke Milston deliberately tells them to dock on the side of the ship where the water is rough and the run of tide is very strong. Red Simmons knows the skipper of the Mystic Mist is being a smart arse and so sets out to show him what an idiot the man was being.
By the time the boat is secured and the unloading has commenced Clarke discovers that the skipper of Boonari Likoo is a woman. On the back foot
from the very beginning, Clarke learns the hard way not to mess with the red haired skipper.
When Red is called in to rescue a yacht caught on the Great Barrier Reef, Clarke learns how brave one small woman can be when she dives down into the hull of a wrecked ship to rescue a small boy and his cat Marmalade.
On season's end when all return to port, Clarke tries hard to win the heart of the small skipper, but there he meets Red’s nemesis, her sister Amber. Similar in looks, poles apart in personality. Clarke soon learns why Red Simmons and Boonari Likoo rarely make their way home.
