Raw, engaging read
I love this book, gritty, raw, dangerous, growling cyborg and a feisty, determined, intelligent woman, craving his acceptance, earning his trust, his affection, his protection and ultimately his love.
Can't recommend this strongly enough.
Female human engineer is assigned a killer cyborg warrior.
Joan is the first and only female cyborg engineer and as such is resented and scorned by her fellow shipmates, other engineers and superior officer. She is finally assigned a cyborg to look after and discovers that he has just murdered his previous handler. The commander of the space station regards all cyborgs as nothing but machines and the rest of his crew follow his lead. Corruption and cruelty to cyborgs is rife and the cyborgs are on the cusp of revolting.
Good read!
