INTRODUCTION While America is the most advanced economy in the world, the phenomenal rise of China and India is drawing more attention. Together, they are home to around two fifths of the world population. When this is combined with their current growth rates and future potentials, their economies are expected to be ranked number one and two by the middle of this century, as they have been throughout most of the history (Khanna, 2007; Prahalad & Krishnan, 2008; Economist, 2009).
