Roaming the Taklamakan Desert
Publisher Description
Xinjiang, a remote and desolate region of western China, boasts the largest sand desert in the world, the Taklamakan Desert.
It is also home to several muslim Turkic groups, the most predominant, the Uighurs. This all sounded very intriguing, so I decided to travel there and see for myself.
A photographic travelogue for an almost 8,000 km journey across China to, around and through the Taklamakan Desert;
a narrative of exceptional imagery and impressions from this troubled region.
