A Pilgrimage on Foot to the Buddhist Holy Places - Part One.

Rude Awakenings records a journey by Ajahn Sucitto of Cittiviveka

Monastery in West Sussex, UK and Nick Scott. They spent six months together

retracing the Buddha's footsteps in India, along with many detours and

sidetracks both physical and psychological. The alternating versions of

what each of them perceived of their outside world presents a vision of

Brilliant and free!!!!

This is not only an excellent travelogue of a Buddhist pilgrimage through India but an insightful glimpse into the demanding world of a Bikkhu and a lay-person.

Detailed, written with a wry humour and informative for those looking to undertake a similar pilgrimage I can't recommend it enough.
