Somebody up there hates me.

You’d think I’d be stoked to take on Troy Williams as a new client. He’s the dynamic middle linebacker for the Brooklyn Vipers—a scorching hot football god whose endorsement could save my struggling business.

And he’s also the conceited jerk who broke my heart ten years ago.

Lucky for me, he has no idea who I am. 

Now that we’re working together, I can see how much he’s changed since high school. I feel my defenses crumbling and my heart warming up to him, and when I see how great he is with his daughter…

Well, let’s just say I’m falling for him. Again.

But what’s he going to think when I come clean about who I am? Will he forgive me for lying to him or will he feel betrayed and ban me from the game? Looks like I’m the one who committed a foul play here.

Amy Nelson is the whole package. She’s beautiful, she’s a sweetheart, she’s hella smart, and don’t even get me started on that gorgeous body. 

She’d be the ideal girlfriend or even wife if I was looking, but I’m not. 

My baby mama is a serial monogamist, and I don’t want my kid growing up thinking relationships are disposable. That’s why I like to keep things casual. 

I don’t do relationships. Don’t want to run the risk of my kid getting attached to Amy or anyone else, for that matter. Am I losing out? Maybe, but I’ve got to do what’s best for the kid, no matter what.
