Scaramouche
Publisher Description
He also becomes a revolutionary, politician, and fencing-master, confounding his enemies with his powerful orations and swordsmanship. He is forced by circumstances to change sides several times. The book also depicts his transformation from cynic to idealist.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Delightfully courtly, flowery but not dated, Sabatini's period romances--Scaramouche unfolds over the years leading up to the French Revolution--were deservedly popular when originally published, during the 20s and 30s.

Captain Blood
Great book! Struggled with the language a bit but the story is a must for any teenager that likes pirate stories.

Wow!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
A slow start but the rest of the book is just so good! At times it may drag a bit, but never for long.
Because of the politics, complicated plot, and a few tricky words, it is not really a book for readers under 10. But, if you are confident that you can get through this extremely long book, the go ahead! Jump into the story! I dare you to!
And, if, at the end, you do not come out feeling the same way as me, then lay it aside and come back a few months later.
You may feel differently after waiting a while until you pick it up and read it again.
(P.S.: That’s exactly what happened to me and what I did when I read it for the first time :))
I sincerely hope you get just as much out of this book as I did.
Happy Reading, and Good Luck!
