The papers are scarce worthy of it—a few pictures of character and nature, pieces of sentiment torn from their setting, a fragment of criticism, some moralisings of little worth—the baggage of a vagrant in letters and life. A more miscellaneous equipment than ever was Don Quixote's, or that which girt the great Sir Hudibras."
