"See Me" is the fourth book in the series of beginning readers from ReadingTeacher.com.
New Word in Book 4:
me
The 80 books in the series use systematic phonics to ensure that your beginning readers will get a great start in reading proficiency.
The books begin at a very simple level and gradually introduce new sounds and words until students have mastered all 44 phonemes (sounds) in the English language.
The books should be read in order, because the sounds and words in each book build upon those learned in previous books. It is important that students master each book before moving on to the next.
Each new word throughout the program is repeated at least 5 times in the book in which it first appears and 5 more times in the next 10 books.
Story Summary:
Mat the Rat keeps shouting to Sam to look at him, but all Sam wants to do is sleep. Mat finally wakes up Sam by beating a big drum. Sam is very mad and chases Mat away

READING TUTOR SERIES
Why is this book series always popping up in “the best” sections of ebooks. I do wonder who has paid for the privilege???
As a Reading Recovery Specialist teacher I know how to teach kids to read- this stuff is rubbish phonetic garbage. While phonemic awareness is a vital skill all teachers need to teach, what I call these books- the “bit, bot, bat’ books are a waste of time and money.
Parents- get your kids into good, early literature, books that make the learner think and not decode constantly stopping to do so. Sunshine, PM Readers, Galaxy Readers are all great early texts too.
They need to decode on the run with texts that are supported by high frequency words, appropriate pictures and text that is part of a learner’s vernacular- not this rubbish!! Try asking an adult reader to read this garbage at a fast pace- it will not bode well nor will it have any real value to the self improvement of any reader.
