Customer Reviews
Insightful
This was a book that I wanted to read as I hoped it would shed some light on to what it may have been like for my Uncle-a Vietnam Vet-during his time in Vietnam. I felt this was told with empathy and understanding of how it must have been for those involved. I really enjoyed the human and emotional aspect of the story and would thoroughly recommend reading this book. The impact on those involved in the Vietnam war is still ongoing and it is important that we don’t forget the effects on those that were there!

Portland Jones has an amazing talent with words. This story both warmed and broke my heart. Shattering and inspiring, Seeing the Elephant is a testament to West Australian literary excellence.
