Harry Max Harrison was an American writer from the world of comics and science-fiction magazines of the 1950s. An amazingly prolific author, who gradually took on more serious themes, during his career he published over 50 novels and numerous short stories. During the 1950s and 1960s, he was the main writer of the Flash Gordon newspaper strip, but today he is much better known for his writing, particularly his humorous and satirical science fiction.
“Sense of Obligation” is a novel, first published in 1967. Harry Harrison has created a Universe where humans have settled on untold numbers of planets and adapted to the planets rather than the planets being adapted to humans.
