Amazing book! Perfect teaching guide! Work of art!
Learning shodo requires observation of a great teacher and practice. This amazing book uses videos to teach, which are clear, easy to follow and actually quite beautiful to see. The illustrations are also beautiful but always chosen for their instructive value. For the cost of one shodo lesson, you can access hundreds of hours of expert instruction from this book. But Shodo is more than painting: it is way of being, and this 'mushin' is woven into every part of this very special book. The way in which the author has used the most modern of technologies to teach this ancient art is inspirational. This book is a work of art, and a deep expression of everything Shodo. I love this book, and I refer to it all the time. You really can use this book to help learn 'the way' of shodo.
