The story of legendary group The Band wouldn't be complete without a deep dive into Rick Danko's life.

From Ontario farm country to the dazzling lights of Toronto's Yonge Street strip, Rick Danko's story moves from his start as a wide-eyed self-taught musician to touring the world with Bob Dylan, creating instantly acclaimed classic albums as bassist, vocalist, and writer with fellow Band mates Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Richard Manual, and Garth Hudson.

Danko played the legendary Woodstock music festival, made it to the cover of Time magazine, and was featured, as himself, in a Martin Scorsese film.

An innately gifted musician, Rick Danko lived life like he was in a dream, but a dream that drifted into a nightmare from time to time — yet that never stopped or even slowed him down.
